Gloucester Stage's Director of Artistic Engagement, Casey L. Oakes gives a preview of exciting upcoming NeverDark events planned for 2015, "This year's NeverDark program is overflowing with wonderful talent. We have directors such as Judy Braha of Boston University directing Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Alyce Householter of Maiden Phoenix Theatre Company will be joining us for Tom Coash's Veils. Gloucester Stage actor and director Lewis D. Wheeler will be directing Harold Pinter's Betrayal. Steven Bogart will be joining us for a reading of Caridad Svich's The Way of Water. Joseph Stigliano, Artistic Director of Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe, will be directing a reading of Samuel D. Allison Benko, our directing apprentice will be tackling readings of Sarah Ruhl's In the Next Room (or The Vibrator Play), Steve Murray's This Wonderful Life, and The Scavengers, a new play by our playwright apprentice Lucas Baisch. And I will be directing readings of 110 Stories, a book compiled of 110 writers who chronicle the shock and loss suffered in September 2001, The 12 Dates of Christmas and The Santaland Diaries. It is a wonderful lineup and we couldn't be more excited to share this work with our audiences and other theatre artists. And we still have a few artists to announce...so stay tuned!"
