GhostLit Repertory Theatre Company announces the world premiere workshop of discontent to be performed at The Whitney Center for the Arts in Pittsfield. The show will run Friday, August 23rd and Saturday, August 24th at 8pm with a matinee performance Sunday Aug 25th at 2pm.
Written by Berkshire native Caroline Fairweather (Director of Elegies for Angels, Punks and Raging Queens; the Whitney Center of the Arts, BroadwayWorld nominee for Best Actress in The Tempest: A Musical; GhostLit Rep), discontent is an abstract, devised play based on Shakespeare's Richard III. It follows the lives of newlyweds Anthony and Rue who are each haunted by their own traumas, family lineage and self destruction.
Directed by Co-Founder and Co-Artistic Director of GhostLit Repertory Theatre Company, Caitlin Teeley (Director of Peter and the Startcatcher; GhostLit Rep, Co-Director of Fun Home; GhostLit Rep- BroadwayWorld Nomination for Best Musical) this workshop marks the third installment in GhostLit Rep's annual "Berkshire New Works Lab".
General admission tickets are $25, Students/Senior/Group 10+ tickets are $17.50 and can be purchased at ghostlitrep.com.
