Franklin School for the Performing Arts Offers Summer Camp and More in August

Franklin, MA--The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) will offer three different Camp and Intensive programs for young people during the last week of August at The School, 38 Main Street.

The Creative Kids Art Camp is geared toward 5-7-year-olds and will take place the week of August 23-27 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. The Camp will include instruction in musical theater, creative movement and arts and crafts. Children will present a short performance at the conclusion of the program.

For 9-13-year-olds, FSPA will hold a Youth Voice Intensive from August 23-26 from 9:30 a.m. to noon. Students will focus on building their vocal technique and expanding their song repertoire. Class time is divided between choral work, private lessons and sight-singing. This program is designed for both beginning and experienced singers. Students will perform in a recital on Thursday, August 26th.

To end the week, the Broadway Artists Alliance of New York City will host a Triple Threat Workshop on Friday, August 27th from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. TyRick Jones of the BAA will conduct individual coaching, master classes and evaluations in voice, dance and acting at this workshop.

The School will also conduct a free Open House for the public on Wednesday, August 18th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., where Fall course catalogues will be available.
