The Franklin School for the Performing Arts (FSPA) has announced that the Box Office is now open for its production of Bye Bye Bieber, an original musical spoof, to be performed Saturday, October 22nd at 7:30 p.m. at the Thomas D. Mercer Auditorium, Horace Mann Middle School, 224 Oak St. in Franklin.

Written and directed by FSPA Drama Instructor Nick Paone and directed by Paone and FSPA Director Raye Lynn Mercer, Bye Bye Bieber is a comedic parody loosely based on the Broadway musical Bye Bye Birdie. The show follows the chaos that ensues when mega pop sensation 'Jason Bieber' joins the Army in his quest to find meaning in his life.

Bye Bye Bieber spotlights the talents of more than 50 young performers ages 8-18 from 14 local communities. The lively, upbeat score includes a variety of pop music accompanied by a professional band.

Tickets for Bye Bye Bieber are $20 for adults, and $18 for students and seniors and can be purchased at The Spotlight Shop, 34 Main Street or by phone at (508) 528-8668. There is no reserved seating for this production, and tickets are available at the door.

Founded in 1985, FSPA brings all performing arts disciplines together under one roof, offering Music, Dance and Drama training to both students interested in serious study and those who enjoy the arts for recreation. Beginners are welcome in all programs. Further information is available by visiting the website at www.FSPAonline.com.
