Foothills Theatre is bringing back Stand-up Comedy Night on Saturday, March 7th at 8:00 pm! Come for an evening of laughter when three great comics perform on Foothills stage!
Often called "the funniest man you've never heard of," Ken Rogerson "makes the absurd seem logical," according to The Boston Herald, while Las Vegas Magazine wrote, "As far as pure stand-up goes, it doesn't get any better." One of the all-time greats from Boston's famed Ding Ho scene, Rogerson started working the Chicago comedy club circuit, while stealing an education from Northwestern University (by attending classes he didn't pay for). He studied acting at the workshops of the famed Second City, and toured briefly with the improv troupe The Comedy Rangers. He then moved to Boston, where he honed his stand-up act to a fine edge "...Sharp enough to cut the head off a rabbit at 30 yards." He was writer for Fox TV's Sunday Comics, where he also starred in many filmed pieces. He has had numerous television appearances on programs like Late Night with Conan O'Brien, The Late Show with David Letterman, and a special Showtime feature called, A Pair of Jokers, to name a few. Other credits include Comedy Central, A&E and MTV, and the Farrelly Brothers' film There's Something About Mary.
Often called "a female Jackie Gleason," Patty Ross's unique persona and larger-than-life stage presence have made her one of the most sought-after personalities on the national comedy scene. Her repertoire is so diverse that her experience ranges from opening for Andrew Dice Clay in 10,000-seat venues to receiving a standing ovation from a convention of Montessori Nuns. The American Comedy Awards nominated Ross for Best Female Guest-Star in a Sitcom for one of her appearances on Roseanne. She was also the featured female performer at the Gala of the 1997 Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal, Canada. Among a slew of TV appearances (including a few of her own pilots), she's appeared in Damon Wayans' My Wife and Kids, Two Guys and a Girl, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer..
Stephen Donovan is a man of many talents -- radio personality, actor and standup comedian among them. You can hear Stephen every morning on the Jen & Steve Show, weekdays on 104.5 WXLO-FM. You can also see him every week, interviewing contestants backstage on Community Auditions on WBZ Channel 4. Just in the past year, he has kept busy with an acting stint on Shear Madness, as well as numerous TV commercials. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Steve has been recognized by the Susan G. Komen Foundation for his ongoing fundraising efforts in the fight against breast cancer.
