Fiddlehead Theatre Company will continue its groundbreaking 21st season with the enchanting fable Disney's The Little Mermaid for an extended run of nine performances from Nov 27th-Dec 6th at The Strand Theatre (543 Columbia Road, Dorchester, MA). The beloved Hans Christian Anderson story details the life of mermaid Ariel whose curiosity leads her to discover a new world. Directed and Costumed by Stacey Stephens, Disney's The Little Mermaid will bring to life this beautiful narrative about love, sacrifice and chasing your dreams.

Fiddlehead's most ambitious season ever will continue with the hit Broadway sensation RENT (20th Anniversary Celebration) from February 5-21, 2016, and the timeless Show Boat April 22-May 1, 2016. Reserve your spot on the Fiddlehead Trolley! Fiddlehead Theatre is offering free transportation to and from the Fairmont Copley Plaza to The Strand Theatre for ticket holders on Old Town Trolley! Patrons can reserve a spot on the trolley by calling the box office at 617-514-6497; limited seating - reservations are required. The trolley will pick up and drop off from the Trinity Place side of the hotel at the following times: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday performances at 6:00 and 6:15 pm; Friday and Saturday performances at 7:00 and 7:15 pm; Sunday performances at 1:00 and 1:15 pm.

Based on one of Hans Christian Anderson's most beloved stories and the classic animated film, Disney's The Little Mermaid is a hauntingly beautiful love story for the ages. With music by eight-time Academy Award winner Alan Menken, this fishy fable will capture your heart with its irresistible songs including "Under the Sea," "Kiss the Girl," and "Part of Your World." Tuesday, December 1st at 7:30 PM, Wednesday Dec 2nd at 7:30 PM, Thursday, Dec 3rd at 7:30 PM, Friday, Dec 4th at 8:00 PM, Saturday, Dec 5th at 8:00 PM, and Sunday, Dec 6th at 2:00 PM.

The Little Mermaid is based on the tale by Danish author Hans Christian Anderson, originally published in 1836. Book by Doug Wright, Music by Alan Menken, and Lyrics by Glenn Slater & Howard Ashman.

Jesse Lynn Hart(Ariel)
Jesse is currently pursuing a degree in BFA Theatre and Performance with a minor in dance at Emerson College. She is making her debut with Fiddlehead Theater as Ariel in this production of Disney's The Little Mermaid. In the past, Jesse has been proud to play Millie (Millie), Ariel (Footloose), Dorothy (Wizard of Oz), Diana Morales (A Chorus Line), and Patrice (13). She spent her summer as a resident company member at the Palace Theater.

Jared Troilo*(Eric)

Jared returns to Fiddlehead Theatre Company following his appearances as Captain Crewe in The Little Princess and an ensemble member in Aida. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from The Boston Conservatory. Jared's recent performances include Freddy (My Fair Lady), Frank Whitaker (Far From Heaven), Tremont (Jerry Springer: The Opera), Tony (West Side Story), Marius (Les Miserables), and Robert Martin (The Drowsy Chaperone). He is also a frequent cast member of the off-Broadway show "That Bachelorette Show" in New York City. His upcoming role will be Boland in the show "Dogfight" which will open in May 2016. *Denotes member of Actors Equity Association.

Shana Dirik* (Ursula)

Shana returns to the Fiddlehead stage after her Luded performance as Addaperle, the Good Witch of the North in Fiddlehead's acclaimed production of The Wiz. She has recently played The Witch (Into the Woods), Maria (Lend Me a Tenor), Yente (Fiddler on the Roof), and Jeanette (Full Monty). Her past experiences with Fiddlehead also include Miss Minchin (A Little Princess) and Miss Hannigan (Annie). Shana is also proud to have played Debra (Kimberly Akido), Mama Maddalena (Nine), Mama Morton (Chicago), Rona (Spelling Bee), Norma (Sunset Boulevard), Mother Superior (Nunsense), Charlotte (A Little Night Music), Mrs. Lovett (Sweeney Todd), and many others. She has been nominated for an IRNE award for many of these roles.
