FIVE TIMES IN ONE NIGHT Opens June 27

Two actors. Five plays. One sexy night. Chiara Alik's smart comedy, Five Times In One Night, runs at Wellfleet Harbor Actors Theater June 27 to July 20. Produced in collaboration with Ensemble Studio Theatre, Five Times in One Night is directed by R.J. Tolan, and stars Lacy Allen and Drew Lewis. Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays through Saturdays, June 29 - July 20. Two preview performances, June 27 and 28, begin at 7:30 p.m.

Over the centuries, few things have wielded such power over mankind as the promise of a great romp between the sheets. Five Times In One Night wittily depicts couples discovering truths about themselves and each other while navigating the rocky terrain of romance. From Adam and Eve to the only humans left on a post-apocalyptic planet (with stops in the 12th century and the modern day) Five Times In One Night explores joy, excitement, danger, and disappointment in a funny and revealing quintet of short plays.

Drew Lewis is an actor, playwright & filmmaker based in NYC. Theater: Romeo & Juliet, Love's Labour's Lost (Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival); Richard II (The Pearl Theater Company); Henry V (New York Classical Theater); Spamalot, The Fox on the Fairway (Saint Michael's Playhouse); Don't Dress For Dinner (New London Barn Playhouse). His play?Front?Lines?was a semi-finalist at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center's National Playwrights?Conference and his play?Registered?was a finalist in the Samuel French Off-Off-Broadway Short Play Festival. He has helped develop new work at Manhattan Theater Club, Soho Rep, The Lark, Bushwick Starr, HERE Arts Center & most frequently at Ensemble Studio Theatre. She studied at American Conservatory Theater (ACT), Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB), Bay Area Theatresports Improv (under Keith Johnstone), The People's Improv Theater (The PIT), Tres Artis, and The Growing Studio. Lacy is a graduate of University of Oregon.

R.J. Tolan has been co-Artistic Director of Ensemble Studio Theatre's Youngblood since 2003 and is a proud member of Ensemble Studio Theatre. Recent Youngblood credits: Sweet Forgotten Flavor by Patrick Link, La Fete by Daria Polatin, Triage by Sharyn Rothstein, The Jamal Lullabyes by Emily Conbere, The True Life Story of [Your Name Here] at the Brick, plus dozens of Brunch plays. Previous Ensemble Studio Theatre Marathon: Christmas Present by Amy Herzog; Not All Korean Girls Can Fly by Lloyd Suh. Shows and workshops at The Brick, Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, Cherry Lane Alternative; co-directed the 2000 Off-Broadway revival of Godspell.

Chiara Atik's plays include Daisy, I Gained Five Pounds, Women (a mashup of Louisa May Alcott's Little Women and HBO's Girls), Five Times in One Night, and Bump, which premiered at Ensemble Studio Theatre earlier this year. She is the author of numerous articles for Cosmopolitan Magazine, Glamour Magazine, New York, and many online blogs, as well as the book, Modern Dating: A Field Guide. Her screenplay, Fairy Godmother, was on the 2016 Blacklist and will be produced by MGM. Television: Superstore. Dates of note: Pay WHAT You Want on the first Wednesday (preview); Opening Night is Friday, June 29; playmaker talkbacks follow selected Thursday performances. Performances are at 8:00 p.m., Tuesdays-Saturdays, except the two previews on June 27 and 28, which start at 7:30 p.m. Student and senior discounts are available.
