Keir Dullea and Mia Dillon will star in a play-reading of the winning play in the 2007 Artsport New Works Playwriting Competition on Sunday, November 11 at 7PM, presented by Playhouse on the Green in Bridgeport.

The two noted actors will read In the Middle of Nowhere by Kent R. Brown of Fairfield.  Director is Kate Katcher of Newtown.

"In the Middle of Nowhere takes place one early September morning, on a farm in rural Nebraska. Rebecca Pender, played by Ms. Dillon, senses the end of the world approaching. The subsequent trauma of 9/11 unleashes a Pandora's Box of fears hidden deep inside her psyche.  Unable to convince Rebecca they are safe living in the middle of nowhere, her husband Lucas, played by Dullea, watches helplessly as she sinks deeper into harrowing paranoia. Unwilling to lose the woman he loves, Lucas joins her in preparing for the Armageddon that is sure to come," explain press notes.

Keir Dullea made his film debut in 1961's The Hoodlum Priest, and played a number of emotionally disturbed youths in films such as David and Lisa (1962) and Bunny Lake Is Missing (1965), as well as on television shows such as Naked City. He appeared with John Huston in the movie De Sade (1969), playing the title role of the Marquis de Sade.  He also appeared with Sandy Dennis in the 1967 film The Fox. On stage, he starred in the 1975 Broadway play, P. S. Your Cat Is Dead! Since the great success of the film 2001: A Space Odessey (1968), Dullea has had a long and successful career on stage in New York City and in regional theatres. He played a US Senator in Robert De Niro's film The Good Shepherd (2006). Dullea is married to actress Mia Dillon since 1999. In 1983, he founded the Theatre Artists Workshop of Westport.

Mia Dillon made her Broadway debut in Da in 1978.
