Australia's most successful theatrical export, Dein Perry's Tap Dogs, comes to The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts April 11-14 for six performances only. Tickets are on sale now to theatre members and go on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 30 at 10 am. Part of The Hanover Theatre's 10th Anniversary Broadway Series, Dein Perry's Tap Dogs is generously sponsored by Reliant Medical Group and Commerce Bank.
A global dance sensation, Tap Dogs has appeared in over 330 cities in 37 countries. Over 12 million people have been dazzled by the energy and imagination of these unique performers. Tap Dogs continues to take the world by storm, and now it's Worcester's turn to experience the show that has been described as "part theatre, part dance, part rock concert and part construction site" (BBC UK).
Tap Dogs is a 75-minute show combining the strength and power of workmen with the precision and talent of tap dancing. Whether they are in water, upside-down or jumping through scaffolding, the Tap Dogs perform to the beat of their own drum. Six dancers and two musicians bring the steel works to life in a fast paced, unstoppable spectacular that has earned multiple awards including an Olivier Award (UK), an Obie Award (New York) and a Pegasus Award (Spoleto Festival in Italy).
The high-voltage, international cast of Tap Dogs is led by Anthony Russo (Foreman), with Nathaniel Hancock (2IC), Richie Miller (Enforcer), Chaise Rossiello (Funky), Justin Myles (Rat), Reid Perry (Kid), Nathan Beech (Spot) and Sam Marks (Rover).
Produced by Broadway Entertainment Group and created by Olivier Award-winning choreographer Dein Perry, Tap Dogs was originally directed and designed by Nigel Triffitt, with music by Andrew Wilkie and lighting by Gavin Norris.
Tickets to Dein Perry's Tap Dogs start at $34. Discounts are available to members of The Hanover Theatre and groups of 10 or more.
