Deerfield Family Theater presents INTO THE WOODS

Deerfield Family Theater presents Into the Woods. Into the Woods brings all your favorite Grimm fairy tale characters together weaving a tale of adventure for the whole family. You'll get to see your favorite characters have their wishes granted in Act 1, but these wishes lead to unexpected consequences in Act 2! Like all good fairy tales, there are lessons to be learned. It is a show with some adult themes, but told in a way that will be enchanted rather than eerie and magical rather that mundane.

The "woods" becomes a darker place in the second act as people are forced to deal with the results of their decisions. The audience is reminded that "Children will listen". This stresses the importance of what we say and what we do in shaping the world around us.

No one under 3 admitted (more for the child's ability to sit rather than the content on the stage). Come out and see how fun the journey can be. Join Deerfield Family Theater and take a journey Into the Woods!

Deerfield Family Theater is proud to welcome Michael Clack as the technical director for the show. This is Michael's first show with Deerfield Family Theater. Michael, who works in the Fine Arts Department at Deerfield High School, will now share his expertise in building sets, running the lighting and sound and designing the stage for Into the Woods. A wonderful new partnership that builds on the local theater experience and Deerfield community partnership of Deerfield Family Theater.

Performances take place at Caruso Auditorium on Fridays, November 10 and 17 at 7:30 p.m., Saturdays November 11 and 18 at 1:00 and 7:30 p.m. and Sundays November 12 and 19 at 2:00 p.m. Deerfield Family Theater, a sponsored program of the Deerfield Park District, welcomes everyone to attend the shows.
