Dandy Darkly to Return to the Provincetown Dick Dock

Dandy Darkly is New York City's cult, cabaret sensation - is New York City's cult, cabaret sensation - a masterful and mesmerizing storyteller who has astounded audiences at festivals and theaters on both sides of the Atlantic.

But long before this celebrated drag-clown was mincing macabre at theater festivals in Edinburgh, London and New York City, he was but a humble storyteller telling his tawdry tales down under Provincetown's Dick Dock.

July of 2011, Dandy wandered down beneath the infamous wharf known (allegedly) for public gay sex and armed with only flashlights and dreams, he set about reciting his raucous ramblings to the Bear Week attendees hidden in The Shadows. And what a wicked and wonderful display it was!

Ever since that purely P'town moment, Dandy has returned anally, ahem annually, to the Dick Dock for his highly anticipated Bear Week show - occasionally appearing for Provincetown's Halloween Weekend as well! - to delight the leather daddies, frisky cubs and in-the-know locals gathered for one of the most unique experiences of the summer season.

July 2017 marks Dandy Darkly's sixth excursion down under the Dick Dock. He promises a tale or two from his latest show, Dandy Darkly's Myth Mouth!, currently touring America's Fringe Festival circuit, as well as games and prizes provided by Provincetown's generous local businesses. Dandy has even helped mentor other talented artists on producing their own Dick Dock shows.

Provincetown's trendiest new venue is decidedly off the beaten-off path!

Dandy Darkly has enjoyed a busy 2017. In April he published his first short story collection, "Dandy Darkly's Six Hundred and Sixty-Six Tales of Sex and Death! Volume One", available on Amazon and Kindle. And he's presently embarked on his first American tour with shows in Tampa, Orlando, New York City, Chicago, Providence, Portland (Maine), San Francisco and more.

Dandy Darkly's Sixth Anal Dick Dock Show! will be down under the Dick Dock in Provincetown, Massachusetts on Tuesday, July 11 at 8 pm SHARP. It's a free show, just show up and enjoy the storytelling spectacle. Flashlights will be provided and watch your head down there!
