Decades Rewind returns to The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts for their audience-favorite theatrical concert on Saturday, March 10, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are now on sale to theatre members and go on sale to the public Tuesday, September 19 at 10 a.m.
Decades Rewind is a national touring concert, dance party and theatrical performance all wrapped up in one blockbuster show. Audiences join world-class entertainers and award-winning vocalists in a celebration of hits from the 60s, 70s and 80s, the most prominent decades in American music history. The concert's medleys feature a wide array of legendary songs, including hits by ABBA, Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, Tina Turner, Chubby Checker, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, Prince, Bon Jovi and many others. Disco, Funk, Rock and Motown all take center stage in a concert featuring over 60 songs and 100 costume changes. The show is also accompanied by three larger-than-life screens and visuals that instantly transport viewers to each decade.
"Decades Rewind was created to transport our audiences back to the days of the best memories of their life," creator Peter Gatti said. "Guests always tell us that they remembered their first dance, their first kiss, their first love, during our shows. Music is so powerful and it's really amazing to see how people are moved throughout our show."
Decades Rewind features Gatti on the keyboards, Mark Blinkhorn on the drums, music director and vocalist Al Owen, vocalists Ashley Renee and Coya Jones, Jimmy DeLisi on guitar, vocalists Frank J. Edmondson III and Wade Whiskey, Patrick McKenzie on trumpet, vocalists Calvin Jones and Monica Cox, Ryan Redden on saxophone, Jeff Stoddard on bass guitar and Jimmy Blount Jr. on trombone, with choreography by Desmond Boone and costumes designed by Debra Bokelbreg of the "Cirque du Soleil" family.
Tickets to Decades Rewind start at $43. Discounts are available to members of The Hanover Theatre and groups of 10 or more. Each adult ticket entitles the buyer to a free kids 16-and-under ticket, only available at the box office.
