Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, under the leadership of Julianne Boyd Artistic Director and TriStan Wilson Managing Director, will present The Big V-Day Cabaret for three performances: Friday, February 11 at 8pm, Saturday, February 12 at 8pm and Sunday, February 13 at 3pm at Stage 2 (36 Linden Street, Pittsfield). Produced by Barrington Stage Company's Musical Theatre Lab, The Big V-Day Cabaret is sponsored in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.

"Having just celebrated 5 years of our acclaimed Musical Theatre Lab, working with over 60 writers, composers, and lyricists, we (Bill Finn and I) asked them to write a song about love and its various vicissitudes," said BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd. "We're thrilled to present these new songs as the Musical Theatre Lab writers share their version of the perfect Valentine's Day song: funny, serious, loving, not-so-loving and outrageous!"

Among the writers from the Musical Theatre Lab who will be represented include Jill Abramovitz, Gaby Alter, Will Aronson, Jeremy Desmon, Vadim Feichtner, Kirsten Guenther, Anna Jacobs, Alana Jacoby, Laura Kleinbaum, Salomon Lerner, Dan Lipton, Bill Nelson, Ryan Scott Oliver, Willem Oosthuysen, Michael Pettry, Zachary Redler, David Rossmer, Samuel Salmond, Joy Son, and Nikos Tsakalakos.

The Big V-Day Cabaret stars Brian Justin Crum (BSC debut/Broadway next to normal, Grease and Wicked), Trista Dollison (BSC debut/The Lion King National Tour), Morgan Karr (BSC debut/Broadway Spring Awakening), and Cassie Wooley (BSC's See Rock City/Winner NYMF's Next Broadway Sensation).

The Big V-Day Cabaret is directed by Julianne Boyd, music direction by Darren R. Cohen and line produced by Natasha Sinha.
