It's happening now! Many of you have heard us talking about the BTF Master Plan (now the BTF GREEN plan) for the past several years. While it's been underway since 2008, the first really visible signs of change are taking place on the BTF campus this spring. A wonderful stone patio outside of the Unicorn is nearing completion and we're also constructing seating areas complete with brand new landscaping. These exciting developments are designed to enhance your visit and make your time at BTF more enjoyable.
We broke ground on the centerpiece of this exciting project, the Carter White Walkway, at the start of April. The project is named after our Past Board President B. Carter White, who served as President for the last four years. Carter continues to serve as Executive Vice President for the Board and was instrumental in positioning us to move forward with the BTF GREEN plan. This walkway will provide a long awaited "link" between the Main Stage and Unicorn Theatres. This paved walkway, prohibited to vehicle traffic, will provide a much safer way for our patrons to walk from the upper parking areas down to the Main Stage. This, along with the new exterior lighting systems, retention pond, and other improvements, forced us to delay our usual opening until mid-June, but we think you will agree that it will be worth the wait!
We invite you to participate in this exciting initiative and support our growth by taking advantage of a series of naming opportunities. Remember a loved one, honor that special person or organization while, at the same time, adding important amenities for our audience members. Please contact Craig Smith in our development office by email or at (413) 298-5536 ext. 28 for additional information.
