Joanna Rothman, who lives in Watertown, MA., has worked in nonprofit organizations for seventeen years, including at The Phillips Collection and The New England Aquarium. In 2007, she began her career in fundraising at WGBH, and subsequently, has served as a director of development for the past five years. Most recently, for nearly three years, Joanna was the director of development at Gateways: Access to Jewish Education in Newton, MA.
Joanna received her BA from Brandeis University and MA from The George Washington University. She also has two professional certifications in fine & decorative arts from Christie's Education London and from the Institute from Nonprofit Management and Leadership at Boston University's School of Management. She is also an active volunteer in the Boston community, currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Fuller Craft Museum, the program committee for Women in Development, and as an Art Ambassador for the Rose Kennedy Greenway Conservancy. Previously she served on the Board of Directors for the Boston Jewish Film Festival as the chair of the Nominating and Governance Committee and as a member of the New Center for Arts & Culture Young Adult Board.
