Christopher Durang to Speak at Suffolk University’s Modern Theatre, 10/6

In the first in a series of conversations with playwrights presented by the Suffolk University Theatre Department, acclaimed playwright and actor Christopher Durang and Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence Robert Brustein will speak at Suffolk University's Modern Theatre at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 6. The Modern Theatre is located at 525 Washington St. in Boston's Theatre District.

Christopher Durang has had plays produced on and off Broadway as well as nationally and internationally. His plays include Sister Mary Ignatius Explains It All For You, Beyond Therapy, and Baby with the Bathwater among many others. Durang is an Obie and Tony award winner as well as a Pulitzer Prize finalist. Robert Brustein is a Suffolk University Distinguished Scholar-in-Residence, 2010 National Medal of Arts recipient and Founding Director of the Yale Repertory Theatre and American Repertory Theatre.

The event will take place at The Modern Theatre at Suffolk University, 525 Washington St., Boston 02111 at 7 p.m. Thursday, October 6, 2011.

The Modern Theatre brings a new performance space to the Washington Street Theatre District while restoring an important facet of Boston theatrical history.
