Barrington Stage Company (BSC), the award-winning theatre in Downtown Pittsfield, MA under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, announces the 2018 season of performances at Mr. Finn's Cabaret, located on the lower level of the Sydelle and Lee Blatt Performing Arts Center, 36 Linden Street, Pittsfield.

Named for William Finn, the two-time Tony Award-winning composer/lyricist of Falsettos and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and Artistic Producer of BSC's Musical Theatre Lab, Mr. Finn's Cabaret celebrates its 7th season with an eclectic mix of performers from June through September.

Ella in Concert

Jazz vocalist extraordinaire Tina Fabrique brings to Mr. Finn's a musical journey through Ella Fitzgerald's Great American Songbook - a celebration of the timeless music of Duke Ellington, Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, the Gershwins and more. One of the greatest interpreters of Ella Fitzgerald's music you will ever hear. Sponsored by Shirley and Ira Yohalem. Tickets: $35.

Benji Goldsmith & Stefan Melnyk
Lies We Tell Ourselves
An evening of songs about how we lie to ourselves about...everything! Each song provides a piercing insight into these lies, but always with a wry sense of humor and a surprising twist. Stefan's literary style and wit pair with the momentum and panache of Benji's music to form a set of funny, striking, and even occasionally heartbreaking songs. Tickets: $20.

Weaving tales of his Manhattan childhood and adolescence raised by his indomitable Aunt Lillian through the lens of the tumultuous decade of the 1960's, Charles regales us with hilarious stories and songs from Broadway to Pop, featuring the work of Burt Bacharach, Jimmy Webb, the Beatles, Henry Mancini, Bob Dylan, Stephen Sondheim, and Kander and Ebb. Tony Award nominee Brandon Uranowitz makes his debut at Mr. Finn's Cabaret. Fresh off his acclaimed turn as Mendel in the Broadway revival of Falsettos, Uranowitz gets up close and personal with audiences while sharing songs by the one-and-only Tony Award-winning William Finn. Expect everything from In Trousers to Falsettos to A New Brain to Elegies and beyond, as Uranowitz lends his unstoppable talent to a selection of work from one of our greatest living Broadway writers. ABOUT Barrington Stage Company

Barrington Stage Company is a professional award-winning Equity regional theatre located in the heart of the Berkshires, in Pittsfield, MA. It was co-founded in 1995 by Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and has a three-fold mission: to present top-notch, compelling work; to develop new plays and musicals; and to find fresh, bold ways of bringing new audiences into the theatre-especially young people. Barrington Stage garnered national attention in 2004 when it premiered William Finn and Rachel Sheinkin's musical hit The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee which later transferred to Broadway, where it won two Tony Awards. In 2009, Mark St. Germain's Freud's Last Session ran more than ten weeks on Stage 2 and later moved Off-Broadway and played for two years. St. Germain's Becoming Dr. Ruth (which premiered at BSC as Dr. Ruth, All the Way in 2012) played Off Broadway at The Westside Theatre in fall 2013. BSC's all-time record-breaking musical, On the Town was originally produced at BSC in 2013. In 2014, it opened on Broadway with BSC as a co-producer, where it was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical Revival. In 2016, Barrington Stage swept the? first Annual Berkshire Theatre Awards by winning 20 out of the 25 awards. In 2016, BSC produced three World Premieres; Presto Change-O, Broadway Bounty Hunter, and American Son, which won the Laurents/Hatcher Award for Best New Play. In 2017, BSC won the Best of the Berkshires Reader's Choice for Best Live Theatre.
