Brian Clowdus Experiences has announced the cast for The Sleepy Hollow Experience at Old Sturbridge Village, set to open in less than a week. The immersive, outdoor theatrical performance has become New England's newest Halloween tradition. Tickets for this fall's run are on sale now at www.osv.org/sleepy-hollow.
Returning for the third year as Ichabod Crane is Austin Tijerina, who says he is thrilled to be back! His favorite past roles include Angel in RENT, Huck Finn in Big River (Old Sturbridge Village/Brian Clowdus Experiences).
Playing the role of Katrina Van Tassel will be Meagan Black reprising her role from last year. A Chicago native turned Texan, Black spends most of her days living in Dallas. Black is a recent graduate of The University of North Texas's Mayborn School of Journalism and looks forward to beginning her writing career upon her return to Texas. Selected roles include: Rizzo (Grease), Wednesday (Addams Family), Nina (In The Heights), Lainie (Two Rooms), Belle (Beauty and the Beast), Serena (Legally Blonde), and Ariel (The Little Mermaid). New to the cast this year is Sam Urdang, playing Brom Bones. Urdang is originally from Boulder, Colorado, but is now based in New York City. He has trained and worked professionally at Shakespeare's Globe in London under the Master of Voice and Dialect. He is also an avid circus artist and fire and blade juggler. This is his first credit with Brian Clowdus Experiences.
Fan favorite Jessica De Maria will reprise her role as Storyteller. DeMaria is an Atlanta based performer, writer, and educator. Her credits include New York: The Last Time We Were Here (NYMF 2015). Regional: Titanic, Macbeth (Serenbe Playhouse), Murder Ballad, Sweeney Todd (Actor's Express), Damn Yankees, Edges, Jesus Christ Superstar, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Your Happy Holiday (Atlanta Lyric Theatre), Les Miserables, Mary Poppins (Aurora Theatre), Kiss Me Kate, The Mystery of Edwin Drood (Stage Door Players), The Light in the Piazza (Theatrical Outfit), Space Girl (The Weird Sisters). De Maria also devotes her time to creating original musicals with her writing partner, Chase Peacock.
Leo Thomasian returns from last year playing the role of Storyteller. Thomasian, a native of Dallas, Texas, has been seen on stage throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex and greater Atlanta area. Past credits include: Evan/Dominic in Nobody Loves You (Horizon Theatre Company), Doody in Grease (Serenbe Playhouse), Laurie in Little Women (Contemporary Theatre of Dallas), and Rudolph in the national tour of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer: The Musical (Wishing Star Productions). Thomasian is also a musician and songwriter. His band, Last Minute Alive, has made their music available across all major digital music platforms.
Finally, local equestrian Angela Kazanovicz of Sutton returns with her beloved horse, Aurora, to play the Headless Horseman.
Show dates and times for The Sleepy Hollow Experience at Old Sturbridge Village are September 26 - November 4, with performances on Wednesdays at 7:30 pm; Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays at 7:30 and 9:30 pm. Ticket prices range from $35-$45, with a special $25 rate on Thursdays for college students. The Sleepy Hollow Experience is performed outdoors - rain or shine. In the event of severe weather, a modified version of the show will take place in the Stephen M. Brewer Theater at the Village's Visitor Center. No refunds or exchanges.
