Carol Hall Set As Special Guest Artist At BACA 5/2, Leads Master Class 5/3

Award-winning composer/lyricist, Carol Hall, will perform as the Special Guest Artist at the 2009 Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA) "CABARET SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE" on Saturday, May 2nd at 7:00pm at Deane Hall in the Calderwood Pavillion (527 Tremont Street - at the Boston Center for the Arts).

She will be accompanied on piano by her musical director Tex Arnold.

BACA has also asked Ms. Hall to lead a Master Class in songwriting on Sunday, May 3rd at 1:00pm to 5:00pm at the Encore Lounge (275 Tremont Street).

Carol Hall'S "HALLWAYS: The Songs of Carol Hall" has received multiple 2009 MAC AWARD nominations in the categories of BEST RECORDING, BEST SONG ("Change In Me") and BEST SPECIAL MATERIAL ("This Is My Birthday"). The 2009 MAC AWARDS will be presented on Monday, May 18th at BB King's Blues Club (237 West 42nd Street - between Broadway & Eighth Avenues) at 7:30pm.

On Tuesday, April 28th, 2009 "HALLWAYS: The Songs of Carol Hall" will be awarded the prestigious
ASCAP AWARD for OUTSTANDING CD at the 24th ANNUAL BACK STAGE BISTRO AWARDS GALA
which will take place at the Gotham Comedy Club (208 West 23rd Street.) Also being honored that evening will be CHARLES AZNAVOUR who will receive the Bob Harrington Lifetime Achievement Award and Liza Minnelli who will be honored in the category of Enduring Artistry.

This Award marks Ms. Hall's third BISTRO.

LML MUSIC released "HALLWAYS: The Songs of Carol Hall"
on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 nationally in stores and online at iTunes and Amazon.com.

The CD's critical and popular success has led to a second printing that was shipped Tuesday, January 20th nationally. The CD also remains available online at iTunes and Amazon.com.

2009 CABARET SONGWRITERS SHOWCASE
This three-day festival celebrates the work of contemporary cabaret composers and lyricists
among the members of the Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA)
in addition to outstanding examples of cabaret songwriting from elsewhere in the country as well.
