Boston native and "Diva" impersonator Carly Sakolove will join forces with The Boston Gay Men's Chorus this week to present their annual Pride concert - Divas Unleashed. The concert, featuring Sakolove and the 175 voice chorus will play John Hancock Hall in Boston, MA on June 6, 7, and 9th.
Divas Unleashed is billed as "an evening of music from Barbra, Cher and Judy - plus Britney, Lady Gaga and Adele with tributes to Whitney and Donna. There will be some BGMC surprises as well. Celebrate Pride with this song and dance salute to the Divas!"
Carly Sakolove and her impersonations can be seen currently in Off-Broadway's smash hit NEWSical The Musical! Sakolove is perhaps best known for her viral YouTube video "Broadway Divas Send in the Clowns." Carly now celebrates one year of New York cabaret success with her one-woman show I HEAR VOICES. Her varied impersonations have been hailed by TIME Magazine (Top 10 Videos of 2010), The New York Times, and The Boston Globe.
