Cape Rep Theatre to Host SUMMER STARLIGHT with Laila Robins

Cape Rep Theatre presents Summer Starlight, an evening to remember with guest of honor, accomplished film, television and theater actress, Laila Robins. Tickets this benefit gala for Cape Rep Theatre, include an outdoor party with hors d'oeuvres and live jazz, a live auction lead by State Senator Dan Wolf, a performance and audience discussion with Ms. Robins in the Indoor Theater and a champagne and dessert finale with Laila Robins under the stars. Ticket prices are $110; $130 for preferred seating and $90 for Members and are available at CapeRep.org or at the Box Office, 508 896-1888.

Summer Starlight is Cape Rep Theatre's largest fundraising benefit and a highlight of their summer theater season. Guests will enjoy a lovely garden party with delicious hors d'oeuvres provided by the Belfry Inn & Bistro, music by Bart Weisman's Smooth Jazz Group, and a live auction with State Senator Dan Wolf. This year's auction will feature a spectacular array of exciting experiences, dining/lodging packages, entertainment and other amazing items that are sure to offer something for everyone, and at a great deal!

The highlight of the evening will be a short performance and candid discussion with Laila Robins moderated by Jonathan Soroff of the Improper Bostonian. Guests will mingle with Laila Robins under the stars at a champagne finale.

Summer Starlight Honorary Chairs are State Senator Dan Wolf and Heidi Schuetz.

All proceeds benefit Cape Rep Theatre.

Laila Robins is currently shooting season 2 of the TNT series MURDER IN THE FIRST. She was most recently a series regular in season 4 of Showtime's HOMELAND as Martha Boyd, the smart no-nonsense US ambassador to Pakistan. She has appeared in many films including SIDE EFFECTS, BLUMENTHAL, CONCUSSION, MULTIPLE SARCASMS, THE GOOD SHEPHERD, AN INNOCENT MAN, WELCOME HOME ROXY CARMICHAEL, TRUE CRIME and PLANES, TRAINS AND AUTOMOBILES.Laila's television credits include the HBO pilot THE MONEY opposite Brendan Gleeson, PERSON OF INTEREST, BLUE BLOODS, DAMAGES, TOO BIG TO FAIL, BORED TO DEATH, GOD IN AMERICA, IN TREATMENT, THE SOPRANOS, LAW AND ORDER, and the series lead in GABRIEL'S FIRE opposite James Earl Jones. She appeared on Broadway in HEARTBREAK HOUSE, the Tony-nominated play FROZEN, THE HERBAL BED and THE REAL THING. Off-Broadway credits include the quartet of Richard Nelson plays performed in repertory at The Public to rave reviews: REGULAR SINGING, SORRY, SWEET & SAD, THAT HOPEY CHANGEY THING; THE LADY FROM DUBUQUE, ANTONY AND CLEOPATRA, A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM, SORE THROATS, TINY ALICE, MRS.
