Cape Rep is pleased to announce the 2011 Winter Season. Performances will take place in The Community Room of the newly renovated Cape House at the entrance to the Cape Rep campus, North Side, Route 6A, E. Brewster. Programming will run from January 7-February 27 and will include readings, music, performance and exhibition. Details will be announced shortly.
The official kick off will be January 7 with four performances of the brand new show "Mama and Her Boys" featuring Cape Rep company members Wendy W. Watson, Christopher Sidoli and Ethan Paulini, with Joan Kirchner at the piano. This original musical revue will feature an eclectic mix of musical theatre, pop and folk songs coming together to humorously and poignantly explore the relationship between mothers and sons. Performances will take place January 7-8 at 7:30pm and January 9 at 2:30pm and 7pm. Tickets are $20.
Other events will include a production of Stephen Karam's Speech and Debate. This comedy with music was an Off Broadway Sensation when it opened in 2007. Ethan Paulini will direct Brendan Cloney, Sean Maddox, Devon McFadden, Martha Paquin and Vicki Summers. Performances will take place on January 14 and 15 at 7:30pm and January 16 at 2:30pm and 7pm. Tickets are $15.
On January 22 and 23 Cape Rep and it's company of actors will welcome True Story Theatre of Boston. Two exciting performances using playback theatre, improv, music and dance. Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30 pm. Tickets are $10.
February 4 and 5 at 7pm Cape Rep's Community room will play host to a Story Slam. Lines between audience and performer blur as people can sign up to tell us their favorite stories. Each night will feature a different theme. Friday, February 4 is "Stories of Passion" and February 5 is "Planes, Trains and Zip Line: Modes of Transportation". Tickets are $10.
On Saturday, February 12 at 7:30pm and Sunday, February 13 at 2:30pm, Cape Rep invites you to a reading of the screenplay of Anthony Minghella's Truly Madly Deeply. Champagne, sweet treats, live music and this classic love story is the perfect way to celebrate Valentine's Day. Tickets are $10.
Cape Cod's own talented artists, musicians, actors and celebs each present a Shakespearean Sonnet with their own unique and distinct stamp on these beautiful pieces of classic dramatic literature. Each performance will feature a new and exciting line up. February 19 and 20, Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 2:30pm. Tickets are $10. The official schedule of artists will be announced soon.

Information will also be available at www.caperep.orgIn addition to live performances, Cape Rep's The Community Room will also host an exhibition of Harwich artist Deirdre "Dee" Paulini (1946-2008). Her collection of original watercolors will be on display and available for purchase. Featuring sketches and watercolors, the exhibition will be open during box office hours, 10am-2pm Tuesday-Saturday and during performances. Proceeds from the exhibition will benefit both Cape Rep Theatre and Dana Farber Cancer Insitute, where Ms. Paulini was a patient.
