Cape Rep Theatre will open its 26th Season on May 5 with Martin McDonagh's The Beauty Queen of Leenane. Victoria E. Flores will direct. Performances will continue for 5 weeks through June 5. Performances take place on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm and 2pm on Sunday. There will be an additional performance on Wednesday, May 26 at 7pm. The cast will feature familiar Cape Rep performers Jean Bates and Sean Dillon. Joining them will be Kathryn Merry and Doug Plaut. The design team includes scenic design by Ryan McGettigan, lighting design by Bailey Costa, costume design by Robin McLauglin, properties by Mary Fritz. Maura Hanlon will provide sound design and Mary Plant-Thomas will serve as Production Stage Manager.
Cape Rep Theatre, now in its 26th season, produces theatre year round in 3 different venues in Nickerson State Park on Route 6A in Brewster, MA. The indoor theatre season will continue with Circle Mirror Transformation, the Regional Premiere of the Broadway musical Xanadu, a World Premiere, Good Bye Mary Rose and a musical to be announced. The indoor theatre will also host special musical events including Mama and Her Boys - The Smash Hit Musical Revue, Trish LaRose is BULLETPROOF, the popular annual benefit musical revue All Our Best, and Sarcastic, Sentimental, Bitchy and Sweet: The Words and Music of Noel Coward. Popular outdoor programming in Cape Cod's only outdoor theatre will include the annual favorite Mary Wilson's Pitter Patter Puppets and Click Clack Moo: Cows That Type - A Musical. In addition Cape Rep recently presented the first annual Winter Series in The 45 seat Community Room in the newly renovated Cape House. 2011 will also mark the 17th annual Broadway Musical Dinner Revue, a co-production with the Sea Pines Inn.
