The Cape Playhouse has a number of exciting offerings this summer, including a movie benefit, a chance to be a part of HAIRPSRAY, and auditions for the Tony Winning show GREY GARDENS.
On June 27 at 7 pm, FOREVER PLAID, one of Off-Broadway's most popular and critically acclaimed musicals of all time (and your favorite
Cape Playhouse show from last season) will return for one night only - this time to the big screen at the Cape Cinema.
This hilarious and irresistible film featuring the original off-Broadway cast takes audiences on a "trip to Fiftiesville" with our favorite 50s boy-band - Sparky, Jinx, Smudge and Frankie. This exclusive event movie also includes bonus footage of "The Plaids" performing numbers never before sung in the show, with special guests
Carol Channing and
Fred Willard.
Stuart Ross, its creator and director, will make a special in-person appearance introducing the film and leading a Q & A at its conclusion, followed by a catered reception. A portion of the $20 admission benefits the
Cape Playhouse ~ CCCArts.
You can also enter a drawing and win a chance to be right in the middle of the action in HAIRSPRAY. Your winning ticket enables you - or a friend or family member -to appear on stage in a performance of the
Cape Playhouse musical, HAIRSPRAY.
Chances are only $5 each, or 5 for $20. Tickets are fully transferable - you may give your winning ticket to a friend or other aspiring star who is age 18 or older. There will be 16 winners - a different winner for each of the 16 performance of Hairspray. All proceeds directly benefit the
Cape Playhouse ~ CCCArts. Purchase your chances at the Box Office today.
