Grammy winner Debby Boone and the cast of Barrington Stage Company's "The Human Comedy" will be guests tomorrow (Friday, June 16) on WAMC/Northeast Public Radio's (90.3FM/1400 AM) 'Performance Roundtable' from 11:22-11:56am.

Joining host and WAMC President Alan Chartock will be BSC Artistic Director Julianne Boyd, Musical Director Darren Cohen and the 18-member cast of "The Human Comedy." Song selections from the Galt MacDermot (Hair, Dude) score - "In a Little Town in California," "Hi Ya, Kid," "I Said, Oh No," and "Beautiful Music"- will be sung by Debby Boone, Eamon Foley, Bobby List, Megan Lewis, Doug Kreeger Cheryl Freeman, and company.

Debby Boone stars as Kate Macauley in BSC's mainstage 2006 season opener - Galt MacDermot's The Human Comedy. Production dates are June 24 through July 16, at The Robert Boland Theatre at the Koussevitzky Arts Center at Berkshire Community College.

Directed by Julianne Boyd, The Human Comedy reunites her creative team from last season's hit, Follies - choreographer Lara Teeter and musical director Darren Cohen.

"Humorous yet poignant, The Human Comedy is the sung-through musical coming-of-age tale of Homer Macauley (Bobby List), a telegraph messenger who becomes a witness to the sorrows and joys of a small California town during World War II," state press notes. "MacDermot's score for The Human Comedy is an exciting blend of American musical styles including swing, jazz, rock, folk, and gospel."
