An Evening with Bill T. Jones: Insights on Directing, Choreography and Life will be held Saturday, October, 1, 2011 at Northeastern University, at 8pm

Don't miss this unique opportunity to hear Bill T. Jones share his candid and perceptive observations about directing, choreography and the life of an artist.

Bill T. Jones, a multi-talented artist, choreographer, dancer, theater director and writer, has received major honors ranging from a 1994 MacArthur "Genius" Award to Kennedy Center Honors in 2010. He was inducted into the American Academy of Arts & Sciences in 2009. His ventures into Broadway Theater resulted in a 2010 Tony Award for Best Choreography in the critically acclaimed FELA! He also earned a 2007 Tony Award for Best Choreography in Spring Awakening as well as an Obie Award for the show's 2006 off-Broadway run.

In addition to creating more than 140 works for the Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company, Mr. Jones has received numerous commissions to create dances for modern and ballet companies, including Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, Boston Ballet, Lyon Opera Ballet, Berlin Opera Ballet, and the Ravinia Festival which commissioned and premiered Fondly Do We Hope...Fervently Do We Pray in 2009.

Mr. Jones' memoir, Last Night on Earth, was published by Pantheon Books in 1995. Hyperion Books published Dance, a children's book written by Bill T. Jones and photographer Susan Kuklin in 1998. Mr. Jones contributed to Continuous Replay: The Photography of Arnie Zane, published by MIT Press in 1999.
