A production of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest starring "Queer as Folk"'s Randy Harrison will be among the highlights of the Berkshire Theatre Festival, which will be held from June through October this year.
In addition to the Dale Wasserman classic, the Mainstage productions include Terrence McNally's Love! Valour! Compassion!, Paul Osborn's Morning's at Seven and George Bernard Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession. Productions at the Unicorn Theatre will include Tennessee Williams' The Glass Menagerie, Rick Cleveland's My Pal George, Julie Jensen's Two-Headed, and Willy Russell's Educating Rita.
Directed by Anders Cato, Love! Valour! Compassion! will run from June 19th through July 7th. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, which was adapted by Wasserman from the classic Ken Kesey novel, will be presented from July 10th through July 28th; Eric Hill will direct and Harrison ("Queer as Folk," The Glass Menagerie at the Guthrie Theater) will star as Billy Bibbitt. Morning's at Seven, staged by Vivian Matalon, will play from July 31st through August 11th, and Mrs. Warren's Profession, directed by Cato, will follow from August 14th through September 1st.
The Glass Menagerie, directed by Eric Hill, will run from May 24th through June 30th. Eric Simonson will direct My Pal George, starring Cleveland, from July 3rd through July 21st. Two-Headed, staged by Mark Geller, will follow from July 28th through August 18th. The season will conclude with Educating Rita, staged by a director that will be announced, from August 21st through October 20th.
