The South Shore Trio features: Berkshire native, Jennifer Muñiz on piano, and Northern Indiana/Chicago's Trevor O'Riordan on clarinet, and Rudolf Haken on viola.

The program will include: Mozart's "Kegelstatt Trio" K498 for clarinet, viola and piano which was composed specifically for these instruments in 1786 and is one of the riches of the clarinet repertoire. Mozart artfully blends the lyricism of the viola with the clarity and warmth of the clarinet in this special piece.

Contemporary American composer Libby Larsen, who has won Grammy awards for her music which has been recorded on more than 50 CD's, recently wrote a new chamber work (2014) for clarinet, viola, and piano entitled "Ferlinghetti" which was inspired by poet Lawrence Ferlinghetti's A Coney Island of the Mind. The piece presents impressions of images from the poetry, like memories, or postcards. Several of the titles recall places such as London and Paris.

Also by Larsen, is the movement entitled "...fifty-one clowns in the back all wearing nothing but Stars and Stripes," which features 23 different American songs, such as "My Country 'Tis of Thee," and "America the Beautiful," arranged in a humorous pastiche.

Concert pianist John Novacek composed the boisterous and jazzy "Four Rags for Two Jons" for clarinet and piano in 2006.

The On the Stage Series features audience and artist on stage together in an intimate setting with limited seating. Seating is general admission.
