Made in the Berkshires, to be held the weekends of October 14th and October 21st, 2011, celebrating Berkshire art and artists, produced by BERKSHIRE THEATRE GROUP (BERKSHIRE THEATRE FESTIVAL / COLONIAL THEATRE), will be holding local open auditions for actors and singers Saturday, July 23rd from 10am-2pm at The Colonial Theatre, 111 South Street, Pittsfield; Sunday, July 24th from 10am-2pm at the Unicorn Theatre, 6 East Street, Stockbridge; and callback Monday, July 25th from 10am-2pm also at The Colonial Theatre.

No appointments will be taken. Actors will sign in and be seen on a first come first serve basis. Actors should bring: resume, photo, two contrasting monologues (4 minutes total for both) and 16 bars of a song sung A cappella (song not a requirement to audition).

An ensemble cast will be assembled to perform the plays within the festival. Rehearsals will take place during the month of September and the first week of October.

We are looking for a wide range of character ages and types; the ability to speak with a Spanish dialect and play in drag a plus.
