Berkshire Theatre Group Announces New Board of Trustee Members

Berkshire Theatre Group, Kate Maguire, CEO/Artistic Director and Ruth Blodgett, President of the Board of Trustees are pleased to announce five new additions to the Board of Trustees.

Ruth Blodgett says, "We are excited to announce five new wonderful additions to BTG's Board of Trustees. They will individually and collectively add to our ability to meet BTG's mission-to support education and economic development for the community through theatre and the performing arts."

Benjamin R. Barber is a Senior Research Scholar at The Center on Philanthropy and Civil Society of The Graduate Center, The City University of New York. Benjamin is also the President and Founder of the Interdependence Movement, and author of, If Mayors Ruled The World: Dysfunctional Nations, Rising Cities.

Bruce Birenboim, a partner with Paul/Weiss Firm, is a senior trial lawyer with a focus on securities litigation, internal investigation and regulatory work. He has worked in some of the most significant securities cases and regulatory investigations of the past several decades. He is a member of the 2013 Law Dragon 500 List of the Leading Lawyers in America.

Hilary Somers Deely, Stockbridge resident and BTG Emeritus Board Member,returns to the Board of Trustees. She is an actress, director, producer and Co-Curator of BTG's the Made In the Berkshires Festival.

Kenneth A. Stark is an Adjunct Lecturer at City College of New York. He was a school psychologist for the Department of Education in New York City, in a career that spanned 30 years. He and his wife Lynn have homes in Pittsfield and Peekskill, NY.

Linda M. Ruberto is a former Massachusetts State Board President, and worked in the Pittsfield School System as a science teacher for 37 years. Linda is a Pittsfield resident and an avid volunteer for various causes, including Volunteer Coordinator for the Look Good...Feel Better Program for 11 years, who is devoted to this community.
