Stories for a Sunday Afternoon returns to the Unicorn Theatre at Berkshire Theatre Festival this Sunday, February 6 at 4pm. This week features three selections for those not caught in Super Bowl Fever or for those who need a unique Super Bowl warm-up.
The first is Raymond's Run by Toni Cade Bambara. Hazel Parker, a young black girl relates the events of two days in her life in which she prepares for and runs a race, during which she comes to a turning point in her relationship with her mentally challenged brother, Raymond. This touching tale has been seen as a ground-breaking initiation story.The second is The Alder Fork-A Fishing Idyl, a short essay by Aldo Leopold from A Sand County Almanac, now an established environmental classic. The Alder Fork describes a fishing trip in June. A meditation and a guide for the fly fisherman after the elusive trout.Berkshire Theatre Festival is located at 6 East Street, Stockbridge MA 01262.
