On November 5 Barrington Stage Company, the award-winning regional theatre in downtown Pittsfield, Massachusetts, under the leadership of Artistic Director Julianne Boyd and Managing Director Tristan Wilson, celebrated Barrington Stage Company's smash-hit production of ON THE TOWN on Broadway and BSC's New Works Initiative with a second annual BSC in NYC Benefit at Broadway's Lyric Theatre, where ON THE TOWN is currently playing to rave reviews.
Over 150 patrons attended the Benefit which raised over $115,000 to benefit BSC's News Works Initiative. "We are thrilled to have been the originating theatre of this sensational revival," said BSC Artistic Director
Julianne Boyd. "What a joy it is to see ON THE TOWN docked in its new home on Broadway!"
Co-chaired by BSC Board members Carole Burack and Board Vice-President
Rosita Sarnoff, the evening began with a cocktail party in the Dress Circle of the Lyric Theatre, followed by a talk in the theater with BSC Associate Artists
John Rando,
Joshua Bergasse and Artistic Director
Julianne Boyd about the remarkable journey of ON THE TOWN from the Boyd-Quinson Mainstage to Broadway's Lyric Theatre. They were joined by cast members
Tony Yazbeck,
