BTG's On The Stage Series Returns With Berkshires' Blues Band, Misty Blues Image

Berkshire Theatre Group's On The Stage Series returns, featuring the band Misty Blues at The Colonial Theatre on Thursday, May 24 at 7pm. Tickets are $20.

The On The Stage Series gives audiences the opportunity to see their favorite performers, up close and personal, with artists and audience together on the historic Colonial stage. Join us on May 24 as Misty Blues celebrates the release of their latest original album, Call & Response, with their On The Stage Series premiere.

Hailing from Berkshire County Massachusetts, Misty Blues is a female led band, playing traditional and original blues with a hint of funk, soul, jazz and gospel. The band has recorded and shared the stage with Charles Neville of the Neville Brothers, and opened for contemporary blues artists Albert Cummings and Michael Powers. They have toured New England extensively and performed in New York City, Harrisburg, Mishawaka, Washington DC, Birmingham, Knoxville, Memphis and New Orleans. They have been aired on B.B. King's Bluesville, Ole Harv's Blues Revue and Oogie Richards' Mighty Mouth Blues. Their last album, Dark & Saucy, hit the airwaves far and wide across the UK.

Tickets to On The Stage Series: Misty Blues CD Release Concert are $20. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444, or online at www.berkshiretheatregroup.org. Ticket Offices are open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sundays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.

The Colonial Theatre, founded in 1903, and Berkshire Theatre Festival, founded in 1928, are two of the oldest cultural organizations in the Berkshires. In 2010, under the leadership of Artistic Director and CEO Kate Maguire, the two organizations merged to form Berkshire Theatre Group (BTG). Berkshire Theatre Group's mission is to support wide ranging artistic exploration and acclaimed performances in theatre, dance, music and entertainment. Every year, BTG produces and presents performances to over 68,000 attendees and, through our Educational Program, serves over 13,000 Berkshire County schoolchildren annually. BTG's celebrated stages reflect the history of the American theatre; they represent a priceless cultural resource for the community.
