Why not make a night of it? Bill Hanney, Mark McDonough and Jeff Cala are proud to announce the opening of North Shore Music Theatre's BACKSTAGE BISTRO, a brand new dining experience at North Shore Music Theatre. Opening August 3, reservations can be made by calling (978) 232-7200 or by visiting NSMT.ORG.
"Going out to eat is an integral part of the theatre going experience. So when I reopened the theatre I wanted to make sure there was a fabulous new restaurant on site so people could make a full night at NSMT," says NSMT's new owner and producer Bill Hanney. "When
Mark McDonough and Jeff Cala approached me about partnering on a new restaurant, I jumped at the chance to work with the most successful restaurateurs on the north shore to open a quality restaurant that can stand on its own."
"When I heard the news about NSMT being reopened, I had a feeling this would be our chance to create a fun and whimsical dining experience," explained
Mark McDonough. "I explained to Bill that that most restaurants have to spend a great deal of money to create character and a sense of place. With NSMT's warehouses full of amazing set pieces and interesting props, we already have the makings of an incredibly unique atmosphere."
BACKSTAGE BISTRO has undergone some major renovations to become a top-notch dining establishment serving American Bistro food that is sure to please even the most adventurous foodie. Chef Derek Clough has trained at the finest restaurants in Napa Valley - including the French Laundry. His flavors are astonishing, subtle and balanced, and the plate presentations are stunning.
BACKSTAGE BISTRO is a fun theatre themed restaurant where you can enjoy great food while surrounded by props and set pieces from some of North Shore Music Theatre's greatest shows including Singin' in the Rain, Cats, Beauty and the Beast, 42nd Street, Memphis, The Wizard of Oz and more.
For patrons of the Music Theatre, it is a fantastic "Park Once. No Worries" choice for them to make a full evening of dinner and a show. However, BACKSTAGE BISTRO is also a great choice for anyone looking for the best casual fine dining in Beverly. The restaurant and bar operate independently of NSMT's show schedule. With its own parking lot, BACKSTAGE BISTRO will remain open even when the shows are on and also during NSMT's off weeks. You don't have to be seeing a show to enjoy this new destinations restaurant.
Jeff Cala and
Mark McDonough currently own and operates 5 successful restaurants on the north shore: Alchemy Tapas & Bistro and Latitude 43 in Gloucester, Cala's in Manchester, Hale Street Tavern in Beverly, and 15 Walnut in Hamilton. Along with managing the BACKSTAGE BISTRO, they manage all food and beverage service at NSMT. Including lobby concession stands and the Garden Bistro which offers sandwiches from the grill, salads and a variety of refreshments.
North Shore Music Theatre's BACKSTAGE BISTRO is currently open Tuesday through Saturday 5pm through late night. Reservations are recommended. Theatre patrons are encouraged to make reservation for an hour and a half before show time. For reservations and information call (978) 232-7200, visit nsmt.org, or in person at 62 Dunham Rd.
