New Repertory Theatre presents A Conversation with Fran Lebowitz, Monday, October 24, 2016 at 7:30pm in the Charles Mosesian Theater at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, 321 Arsenal Street, Watertown, MA. Tickets are $50 for reserved admission. Special VIP tickets available for $100 which includes a private reception with Ms. Lebowitz beginning at 6pm at our restaurant partner Branch Line. Tickets will go on sale to the general public on Monday, August 1.

Following the talk, local non-profit More Than Words will host a book signing with Ms. Lebowitz, with copies of her books available for purchase.

"Fran Lebowitz is well known for her humorous and provocative take on just about every subject," says Artistic Director, Jim Petosa. "During a season in which we explore a wide range of incendiary and timely topics, we felt a conversation with one of America's foremost cultural satirists was a perfect compliment. Armed with her unique wit and perspective we are thrilled to welcome her to our stage this season."

Purveyor of urban cool, witty chronicler of the "Me Decade," and cultural satirist Fran Lebowitz remains one of the foremost advocates of the Extreme Statement. Her writing-pointed, taut, and economical-is equally forthright, irascible, and unapologetically opinionated.

Enjoy an unforgettable evening of conversation with Fran Lebowitz and WGBH's Executive Arts Editor and host of Open Studio Jared Bowen as Lebowitz offers insights on timely issues such as gender, race, gay rights, politics, and the media as well as her own pet peeves-including celebrity culture, tourists, and strollers.

Jared Bowen is WGBH's Emmy Award-winning Executive Arts Editor. His weekly television series Open Studio with Jared Bowen takes viewers inside the creative process, offering a blend of profiles, performances, and contemporary exhibitions by artists in Greater Boston, New England, and across the country.
