Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Theatricals has chosen stage and screen favorite Anne Hathaway as its Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year. The honor is bestowed upon the selected thespian each year in an over-the-top ceremony involving a well costumed parade through Cambridge and a roast in their honor.  This year's event will take place on January 28.

Hasty Pudding Theatricals is a theatrical student society at Harvard University, known for its burlesque musicals and for its status as the oldest collegiate theatrical organization in the United States. They present original student-written and -composed musicals with near-professional production values. The organization was formed in 1795 as an arts-minded fraternity.

Renee Zellweger, Halle Berry, Susan Sarandon, Ella Fitzgerald and Lauren Bacall are among past Hasty Pudding Women of the Year. English actress and comedian Gertrude Lawrence was the first to receive the recognition in 1951.

Hasty Pudding Club has not yet revealed their 2010 Man of the Year.  Last year's recipient was James Franco, who is in the company of Christopher Walken and Warren Beatty as past winners.

For tickets to the Woman of the Year Roast call the Hasty Pudding Box Office at 617.495.5205. For more information visit www.hastypudding.org.
