Sage Inn & Lounge (www.sageinnptown.com), Cape Cod's leading destination for food enthusiasts, today announced that the American Songbook, the most important and influential American popular songs and jazz standards from the early 20th century, will be performed live at the Sage Lounge from July 3 through October 14 during their Great American Songbook Series. Four carefully selected acts-Cat Faulkner, Marcus Simeone and Tracy Stark, Karen Oberlin, Tedd Firth and Kate Ferber-will be bringing these iconic favorites to Provincetown.

Performing My Favorite Pages from the American Songbook on July 3 and 4, jazz vocalist, Cat Faulkner, is bringing new life and passion to the Jazz standards from greats like Gershwin, Ellington and Berlin, and doing it with grace. Faulkner was born in Eastern Canada and was on stage with her family Gospel Quartet by the age of 8. After migrating to the Boston area, the family continued performing and Cat began her love affair with classic American Songbook tunesmiths. For several years she was the lead vocalist for several prominent Society Orchestras, performing in Philadelphia, New York and Washington DC. More recently, you may have seen Cat performing throughout New England with The Capitol Jazz Orchestra, and with her trio Cat & The Rhythm Boys.

For one night only on July 9, Marcus Simeone and Tracy Stark will perform Sacred Ground: The Songs of Janis Ian. Since his sensational club debut at Don't Tell Mama in January, 2001, Simeone has emerged as one of the most celebrated voices to grace the stages of Manhattan's nightclubs. He is renowned for his achingly beautiful and emotionally-charged interpretations of soulful songs from the American pop songbook, red-hot jazz sensibility, and a fierce R & B flair, Marcus Simeone has been called a musical genius by his peers and fans alike. Together with award-winning pianist, arranger, conductor and singer/songwriter, Tracy Stark, this will be an unforgettable performance. Stark is an 8-time MAC Award winner, in the categories of Music Director, Piano Bar Entertainer and Song of the Year. She is also Bistro Award winner for Music Direction, and winner of the Dottie Burman Songwriter of the Year Award. Stark has performed with hundreds of rock, jazz and Broadway vocalists, including Lesley Gore and Phoebe Snow.

On August 5 and 6, international performer and recording artist, Karen Oberlin, and accompanist, jazz pianist and arranger, Tedd Firth, will perform their hit show, Secret Love: A Tribute to Doris Day, which The New York Times called "a jazzier inheritor of Doris Day's impeccable pop style." In this exciting show, Oberlin and Firth delve deeply into the life and music of this fascinating and important cultural phenomenon--from having a baby as a teenager, touring with a big band, to her tumultuous marriages and becoming the highest paid woman in Hollywood history--all while recording sensational songs throughout her varied career.

Finally, on October 13 and 14, One Child Born: The Music of Laura Nyro, performed by Kate Ferber, will make its debut. An acclaimed one-woman show that sold-out in New York City and Cambridge, this show celebrates the music and creative force of the late singer-songwriter and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer whose pop masterpieces topped the charts in the '60s and '70s. As innovative as Regina Spektor, as intimate as Norah Jones, singer-musician-actor Ferber digs deep into Nyro's disarming song catalogue in this original tour de force.

Tickets for each show are $30 - $35 per person. For more information, visit www.sageinnptown.com.
