Lost in the fog, a stranger seeks refuge in a nearby house, only to find he's stumbled upon the scene of a murder. When the dead man's wife confesses to the crime, the stranger agrees to provide her with an alibi. But who is he really protecting? Audiences will be mystified as a Pandora's Box of loves and hates, suspicions and intrigues is opened on stage. Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest will run for 8 shows only from March 31 - April at Stage 284 at The Community House.

Poet Laureate, critically acclaimed writer, award winning actress Myriam Cyr directs this Stage 284 production. Cyr last direcTEd Simon Says at the Culture Project in New York to great critical acclaim. "Thrilling" said the New York Times" of her work. In 2016, Cyr was nominated as best director by Broadway World for her production of Stage 284's Mary Poppins.

Fast becoming one of the great stages of the North Shore, Stage 284 embraces theater as a living, breathing art form. A small chamber theater company, nestled in the Community House of Hamilton, Stage 284 reinvents theater to fit its historic space.

Agatha Christie is the most widely published author of all time with her works outsold only by Shakespeare and the Bible. She is regarded by generations of fans as the greatest mystery writer ever, and her novels are read and cherished the world over.

The Unexpected Guest cast includes actors from a number of local communities, Arlington resident Jason Bernstein as 'Henry Angell'; Boxford resident Noah Greenstein as 'Jan Warwick'; Gloucester residents Jeannie Edwards as ' Mrs. Warwick' and Paul Edwards as 'Julian Farrar'; Ipswich resident Phil Thompson as 'Starkwedder'; New Hampshire resident Jocelyn Duford as 'Laura Warwick'; Middleton resident Nelson Baker as 'Richard Warwick'; Salem residents Michael Blunt as 'Sargeant Cadwallader' and Stephen Turner as 'Inspector Thomas'; Topsfield resident Patricia Jamison as 'Miss Bennett'.

Agatha Christie's The Unexpected Guest will be performed at Stage 284 at The Community House 284 Bay Road, Route 1A in Hamilton, MA on Friday, March 31 at 7:30pm, Saturdays, April 1 and 8, 3pm and 7:30pm, Sundays, April 2 and 9, 2pm and 6:30pm and Thursday, April 6, 7:30.
