'According to Tip' Extended at New Rep. Theatre

New Repertory Theatre in residence at the Arsenal Center for the Arts, announces it will be extending the run of the World Premiere of ACCORDING TO TIP. Written by Dick Flavin and starring Tony and Emmy Award-winner Ken Howard, According to Tip traces the colorful and historically memorable career of  Boston's beloved Thomas P. "Tip" O'Neill.

The additional performances are on Wednesday, July 16, 2008 at 8:00pm and Thursday, July 17, 2008 at 2:00pm and 8:00pm.   
 
"I am thrilled with the huge success of the show," said Rick Lombardo, New Rep's Producing Artistic Director.  "New Rep is dedicated to creating new works, exposing Boston audiences to emerging playwrights, and nurturing the future of American theater.  It is wonderful that we've succeeded in our mission, and I hope that the show will continue to gain recognition both within the  Boston and national theater communities."

New Repertory Theatre presents provocative and intelligent works of both established and emerging playwrights in an intimate setting that involves and engages the audience.  New Rep has earned a reputation for dynamic productions that honor the writers and feature talented professional actors from the New England theatre community as well as guest artists from around the U.S.  New Rep has received Elliot Norton and IRNE Awards for outstanding acting, scenic design, direction, and production.  Programming at New Repertory Theatre is supported in part by a grant from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.
