A CHRISTMAS CAROL Returns to Colonial Theatre, 12/14-22

Berkshire Theatre Group has announced the reprise of its annual community production of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol, adapted by Eric Hill and co-directed by Eric Hill and Travis G. Daly and presented for the fourth time at The Colonial Theatre in Pittsfield. This year's production includes 30 talented young Berkshire county actors many of whom are returning to the Colonial Theatre and some who are performing for the first time.

A Christmas Carol runs December 14-22 at The Colonial Theatre. Tickets to A Christmas Carol are $27 for children 16 and under and $37 for adults. Contact the Colonial Ticket Office at 111 South Street, Pittsfield by calling 413-997-4444. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.berkshiretheatregroup.org. The Ticket Office is open Monday-Friday 10am-5pm, Saturdays 10am-2pm or on any performance day from 10am until curtain.

"It's one of the greatest stories ever written and as it is, it deserves to be repeated so we can be reminded of this classic tale of generosity. The play is all about community," Ebenezer Scrooge and co-director Eric Hill said.

This year's production includes 44 local talented actors. Eric Hill will return as director and in the role of Ebenezer Scrooge, and Associate Education Artist, Travis G. Daly, co-directs. Returning BTG company members include Madeline Calandrillo, Courtney McLaren, Kathy Jo Grover, Rylan Morsbach, Ralph Petillo, Brian Plouffe, Gail Ryan, E. Gray Simons III, Tom Towne, Christopher-Michael Vecchia. Berkshire Theatre Group's Artists-in-Residence: Kelly Lamanna and Hayley Barnes with 30 Berkshire County children join the community cast.

Celebrate the timeless holiday tradition of A Christmas Carol with the whole family and revel in the joy and redemptive power of Christmas as told in the timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge, the infamous miser who is shown the error of his ways and reformed by four spirits. Journey back to Victorian England and experience the classic story filled with holiday carols and the wonderment of the season.

Eric Hill directed Berkshire Theatre Group's production of POE, Benefactors, A Christmas Carol, Oklahoma!, A Chorus Line, The Who's Tommy as well as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs at the Neil Ellenoff Stage at the Mount.
