Fresh from their critically acclaimed* Irish premiere in the ABSOLUT Dublin Gay Theatre Festival this May, producer/director David Drake and stars Scott Douglas Cunningham and Spencer Keasey will bring James Edwin Parker's 2 Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night back to Provincetown this June for a limited engagement of nine performances only.
Returning to the Art House Theatre -- where the show was a runaway hit for two smash months last summer -- 2 Boys in a Bed... will play the first two weekends in June; on the 5th, 6th, 7th and June 12th, 13th, 14th, as well as on Tuesdays June 9th and 23rd, and Wednesday June 24th. All performances are at 9PM.
Performed without an intermission, the 65-minute play explores the emotions and needs that arise between two gay men after a one-night stand in New York's Greenwich Village. WARNING: 2 Boys in a Bed... is for adults only. The production contains nudity and sexual situations.

James Edwin Parker (playwright) - Two Boys in a Bed on a Cold Winter's Night; All American Boy, The Boy Band Musical (book & lyrics); Virtual Closet; ... and the Pursuit of Happiness; The White Bird Takes Wing; Drinking Games. He is a contributing author to "Mama's Boys: Gay Men Write About Their Mothers," and a founding member of Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Company. Parker resides in Manhattan with his partner Kyle Shadix and their magical menagerie of multiple felines. He is a member of The Dramatists' Guild, Inc.
David Drake (producer/director) is a actor, playwright, director and producer who is still most widely recognized as the playwright/performer of one of the longest-running solo shows in off-Broadway history, The Night Larry Kramer Kissed Me, for which he won an OBIE award and two Dramalogue awards. Recent work as a director includes the New England premiere of Brad Fraser's Poor Super Man at the Art House in Provincetown, MA last fall; his own multi-media adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's The Fall of he House of Usher at Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, MD last winter; and the Irish premiere of 2 Boys in a Bed... in the ABSOLUT Dublin Gay Theatre Festival this spring. In June David will take his production of Deborah Karpel's musical memoir Songs My Mother Never Taught Me to the Recklinghausen Festival in Germany, and in July he'll direct the workshop of Taylor Mac's new five-act play The Lily's Revenge at the Sundance Theatre Lab in Park City, Utah.
Scott Douglas Cunningham (Daryl) is celebrating his first anniversary as a full-year resident of Provincetown this June by stepping back into the show that brought him here in the first place, 2 Boys in a Bed... A native of Long Island, Scott is a graduate of New York's Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting and is a charter member of John Dapolito's Master Class for the Working Actor. On stage in New York, Scott starred in A Corner of a Morning at La Mama ETC (a revival of the first original play produced there). On TV, Scott has been seen in national commercials for Nikon, Papa John's Pizza, Rhapsody.com, and guest spots on "All My Children" and "As the World Turns." He is especially proud of his voiceover work in the Japanese anime porn Immoral Sisters Two. Earlier this season Scott starred alongside Spencer at the Art House in the regional premiere of Poor Super Man.
Spencer Keasey (Peter) is a resident of Provincetown where he is the Outreach Coordinator for the Men's Health Project/AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod. Spencer has been an educator most of his adult life, having taught high school English in the Pittsburgh Public Schools as well as being a grant coordinator and consultant to Vermont DOE. As an actor on local stages, Spencer starred in David Drake's productions of 2 Boys in a Bed... last summer and Poor Super Man last fall, both at the Art House. Under the adult film pseudonym Spencer Quest, he has won many accolades for his gay erotic work, including Best Non-European Actor from the 2006 David Awards in Italy, Men Magazine's #4 Top Performer of 2006, Best Supporting Actor from the 2007 GAYVN, and the 2006 Performer of the Year award from X-Factor Magazine.
