Written and directed by Brian Tuttle, whose script Her Red Umbrella was nominated for a 2011 IRNE Award, and showcasing music and lyrics written by Erin Murray, The Great Heathersby Heist adds several new twists to an old crime. In 1990 two thieves disguised as police officers stole $500 million from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston. Inspired by the theft, Brian Tuttle paralleled the ISGM with his "Heathersby House," a museum in which anything can happen... including impressive heists and random outbursts of song. This is the first musical 11:11 Theatre Company has ever produced.

The Great Heathersby Heist will run April 8-16 at The Factory Theatre in Boston's South End. Tickets are $17 general admission ($15 students and seniors). The show is not affiliated with the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum.
The Story

Let's say your best friend is depressed. How to cheer him up? Melanie and Rourke decide that in order to lift best buddy Benj out of the doldrums they'll steal millions of dollars of art from the famed (and semi-fictional) Heathersby Museum in the heart of Boston. There's only one problem: Benj may have fallen for the heiress of the collection, Emily Heathersby. Okay, and there's another problem: the museum's security chief, Inspector Fromage, is a homicidal maniac and will stop at nothing to protect the art. Will the three would-be art thieves succeed with their plan? Will Fromage ever be able to whip his security team into shape? Or will there be some kind of crazy, twist ending that you don't see coming even though we told you it might exist...?
