Public Radio's live jazz, blues and comedy show, 12th STREET JUMP, welcomes three new stations to its network of affiliates. Now broadcasting the weekly hour-long show are KEOS-FM 89.1, serving Bryan, TX and the Brazos Valley; KPVL the Blend - FM 89.1in NE Iowa; and KKRN-FM 88.5 in Bella Vista, serving Redding and Northern California. The show, produced live! on KCUR FM 89.3 in Kansas City, is available to stations free of charge on PRX the Public Radio Exchange and PRSS Content Depot, NPR's national distribution system. On-line, the show is streamed live on most of these affiliates, as well as at bostonfreeradio.com.

"We're excited to add these new stations," commented 12th STREET JUMP host Pete Weber. " All together, our station group makes 12SJ one of the most listened-to weekly live jazz radio shows in the country. It's great to share the spirit of Kansas City jazz with the rest of the country."

September shows feature birthday celebrations of four great jazz artists. Each week, a special guest joins Weber and co-host PEarl MacDonald, musical director Joe Cartwright, bassist Tyrone Clark, drummer Mike Warren and vocalists David Basse and Nedra Dixon. The week's "Blues in the News" and topical sketch comedy and improvs round out the show's great music.

Here's the weekly run-down and airdate windows for September's shows; check out one of our public radio stations or bostonfreeradio.com for specific days and times of the broadcast or live stream:
