by Paul Rudnick Witty – Spirited – Theatrical Andrew Rally seems to have it all: a hit TV series, a glamorous girlfriend, a devoted agent, the perfect New York apartment, and the chance to play Hamlet in Central Park. There are, however, a couple of glitches in paradise. His series is canceled, his girlfriend is staunchly virginal, and he has no desire to play Hamlet. When an unlikely seance summons the ghost of John Barrymore, Andrew’s life takes a wild turn. Barrymore, in full Shakespearean garb, pushes Andrew to accept the role and embrace his destiny. Chaos and hilarity ensue as Andrew juggles a lucrative TV offer, his conscience, and his attempts to succeed as Hamlet.
