With the sensuous and seductive melodies of Rimsky-Korakov’s Scheherazade, we dedicate this concert to the violin. Concertmaster Geoffrey Trabichoff will enchant us as the violin voice of Scheherazade, the beautiful Persian princess who saves herself from certain death by spinning the One Thousand and One Tales of the Arabian Nights.
Not to be missed is the young violin sensation, Stefan Jackiw, as he debuts with the Boise Philharmonic playing the legendary Violin Concerto in D major of Johannes Brahms.
