After breaking box office records and selling out in record time in 2011, WICKED, Broadway's biggest blockbuster, will return to the Morrison Center in Boise April 16 - May 4. Tickets for the return engagement go on sale to the public at 7:00 a.m., today, January 24th. From 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. tickets will be available ONLY at the Morrison Center Box Office (2201 Cesar Chavez Lane - on the campus of Boise State University). Beginning at 10 a.m., any remaining tickets will be available for purchase at the Morrison Center Box Office, select Bronco Shops, online at BoiseStateTickets.com or by calling (208) 426-1110. There is an 8-ticket limit.
Parking for the on sale will be free in the Brady Garage from 6:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Due to Boise State University regulations, lines cannot form prior to 6:00 a.m. Entry to the Morrison Center will be via the Academic Entrance on the East side of the building (Map). Lisa Adams with 107.9 Lite FM will be broadcasting live on site with free food, refreshments and a prize for a lucky listener. In addition, there will be special gift bags for the first 50 orders.
With music and lyrics by Stephen Schwartz (Pippin, Godspell, Academy Award-winner for Pocahontas and The Prince of Egypt) and book by Winnie Holzman ("My So Called Life," "Once And Again" and "thirtysomething"), WICKED, the untold story of the witches of Oz, is directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Mantello (Take Me Out, Love! Valour! Compassion!, The Vagina Monologues)and features musical staging by Tony Award winner Wayne Cilento (Aida, The Who's Tommy, How To Succeed...).
Based on the best-selling 1995 novel by Gregory Maguire, WICKED, winner of 50 major awards, including a Grammy and three Tony Awards, is the untold story of the witches of Oz. It is produced by Marc Platt, Universal Pictures, The Araca Group, Jon B. Platt and David Stone.

Stephen Oremus is the show's musical supervisor. Orchestrations are by William David Brohn, with dance arrangements by James Lynn Abbott.
