Standings crowd further as Sun Valley downs Nampa, and Boise beats Eagle at the Idaho Improv League.
The Nampa Knights' (5-5) woes continued on Friday night, as the Sun Valley Shine (5-6) emerged with a 28-25 victory. The Knights started the match on a 7-1 run, with a strong game played by Robert Longstroth (15 points), but the Shine closed the gap in the second half, with Lance Peterson scoring a team leading 12 points for Sun Valley.
The Boise Megabytes (5-6) moved one step closer to avoiding the postseason play-in round as they ended the Eagle Storm's (7-4) winning streak with a 37-36 win. Boise's Ross Merritt led all scorers with 13 points. However, with Nampa's loss the previous day, Eagle clinched the #1 seed in the playoffs, which start July 30.
Nampa plays the Meridian Villagers July 16, while the other teams conclude regular season play on July 22 & 23.
