The National Centre for Performing Arts hosts POP! Goes the Weasel, directed by Noel Manasseh, August 16 and 17, at Dance Theatre Godrej.

POP! Goes the Weasel is a ‘decalogue'; a collage of 10 scenes from popular Broadway plays like The Odd Couple, Summer & Smoke and Plaza Suite, by successful and well-known writers, like Neil Simon, Tennessee Williams, Bill Manhoff and William Inge. Each scene deals with people of different ages, backgrounds and attitudes,... all who are desperately trying to fit themselves into their fantasies of a perfect life and each failing miserably to live-up to their own image of themselves.

The title: POP! Goes the Weasel is a metaphor for the surprises life throws at us when we least expect them. When things we hear, say and do, mould us into the people we become.

Tickets are Rs. 200/- (for Members) and Rs. 250/- (for Public).
