Lauren Weedman, creator of two of the most popular shows in the history of BCT, is returning to the stage with a new question: Is Boise the answer to everything? Weedman, whose extensive film and television credits include The Daily Show, Arrested Development, HUNG, Judd Apatow's A Five Year Engagement, and an upcoming HBO series written by Michael Lannan; has a fondness for the City of Trees. She'll be in town collecting characters, moments and stories to include in her newest comic quest, BOISE: YOU DON'T LOOK A DAY OVER 149.
In BUST, Weedman's first play in Boise, she contrasted life in the LA County Jail for women with the absurdity of her career struggles in Hollywood. In the BCT World Premiere, NO...YOU SHUTUP, she tackled her own evolving definition of family. Now she's back in town looking for answers. Is the town the place to raise her child? Can this city save her marriage? Will Boise fill the nothingness of her midlife crisis?
Weedman returns to BCT for a very limited four-show run September 21 & 28 with performances at 2 and 8 pm each day. BOISE: YOU DON'T LOOK A DAY OVER 149 will be a unique experience each time as Weedman incorporates new ideas and responses into the show.
BOISE: YOU DON'T LOOK A DAY OVER 149 runs September 21 at 2pm & 8pm and September 28 at 2pm & 8pm. All tickets are $25 and can be purchased online at BCTheater.org or by calling the BCT box office at (208) 331-9224 x205. The Annual BCT Season Opening Celebration on September 14 will feature a sneak peak of the show.
