Idaho Falls Arts Council Host Battle of the Bands, 8/14

Idaho Falls Arts Council hosts Battle of the Bands 2010 as part of the Snake River Roaring Youth Jam on August 14th, from 3PM to 10PM at the Civitan's Plaza, on the corner of B and Shoup. As many as 15 bands will compete for their share of over $2000 in prizes. There is a $50 entry fee per band or a $100 business sponsorship. All band members must be 21 or younger. Judges will be a mix of Snake River All Star musicians as well as area high school students. Entrants will receive by e-mail a complete judges tally with comments.Bands will have the chance to garner a local business for sponsorship of their band. All Participants will have the opportunity to attend the free judges workshop presented by members of the Snake River All Stars.

The Idaho Falls Arts Council (IFAC) is a private nonprofit organization founded in 1990. Their mission is to present quality visual and performing arts, offer arts education and promote arts organizations and events in the region. They own and operate the Willard Arts Center which includes the Colonial Theater. A seventeen member Board of Directors representing a cross section of the community governs the organization.
